    General Tips

1)This is the paramount maxim for the class: DONT slack off!!!!
Once you get behind, its impossible to get back on track.

    2) Ask questions if you're confused or curious. Mrs. Rosas in her Socratic wisdom will send you down a journey of self exploration that will actually lead you to the right answer.

    3) Try to work ahead. If a project is due on Thursday, be working on it before Wednesday. Work Piles up in this class.

    4) Focus on the main idea in all that you do. Start building connections so that history is more than just facts.

    5) Read Zinn - if she does this next year. No one is cooler then this leftist, socialist genius. He will really stimulate you and cause you to question history's typical sources and our powerful institutions. Plus he's just really fun to read.

    6) Enjoy it. US History is a history of the very country you live in. It's not that boring. If you enjoy it, you provoke the willingness to learn.
